Industry Champions provides an excellent opportunity to bring the local labour market and sectors to life for young people.
Industry Champions are volunteers from any level and any sector of the world of work, who come into local schools or colleges to support young people within their careers education. As an Industry Champion you could be asked to talk about your career journey and/or industry, both online or face-to-face.
Becoming an Industry Champion benefits local employees and businesses in many ways:
Industry Champions is a FREE initiative, set up over 5 years ago, to help young people meet local employer and employees during their careers programme in schools and colleges. Over the years, more than 510 requests have been made by schools/colleges for Industry Champions support. Over 430 careers related activities have been supported by Industry Champions and we currently have almost 200 local Industry Champions from a wide variety of industries and experiences.
To become an Industry Champion, you will need to be a good understanding of the industry you are in and should be able to thoroughly discuss your job role and how you ended up in that position. You can be working in any level within an organisation, be passionate about what you do and be willing to share and educate others on how to achieve.

The Industry Champions program is available to primary, secondary, FE and HE education settings.

After you have submitted this form, we will add the event to the monthly Industry Champion newsletter which goes out to all our volunteers. The Industry Champions will then contact us if they can get involved with your activities, and we will then email you their contact details so that you can make the final arrangements before the activity.
